I never thought I’d really get into tending to a garden. My hubby really wanted to have a garden so he and his mom planted a few things this spring. I’ve been tending and watering the plants all summer and get great joy when something is ready to pick! I was elated the other night to see one cucumber growing and getting ready to ripen. I don’t even like cucumbers. Anyway, the main reason we wanted to have a garden was to make homemade salsa. This was our first attempt. Everything came from our garden except the onion, lime and cilantro.
We cut up all the ingredients and put them in the food processor.
Salsa Recipe
3 tomatoes
1/2 onion
2 jalapeno peppers (one w/ seeds and one w/out)
1 green pepper
cilantro to taste
salt
1/2 lime (squeezed)
Let her rip! We thought next time we would chop the veggies less to make a chunkier salsa.
